My goal is to move beyond photography to use photos as elements in creation of new and moving images. Whether it is using water as the essential lens through which an image is captured, or the use of many images - altered, layered - he is moving photography to the realm of the painterly. Some of the images seem familiar, like dreams. Some images shock or amuse. Some bring back memories of classical or Renaissance paintings and sculpture.
